RSS Icons & Autodiscovery

After you make an RSS feed using RSSmachine you need to tell the world you have a feed available.

There are two methods besides linking to your feed that you can alert people that you have a feed: icons and autodiscovery.

Use an RSS icon a web page to tell people that the page their looking at has an RSS feed available too.

Right click on an image to download and save it to your hard drive.

Or make your own RSS icons at this web site.

Autodiscovery is as simple as adding a line to to <head> of a page’s HTML code.

<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="your RSS feed title" href="http://www.yourSite.com/feed.xml" />

Use an RSS icon on a page even when you implement autodiscovery.

RSSmachine is an RSS 2.0 template, 10 CSS style sheets, an XSL file, and an OPML file. Unlike other feeds, those made with RSSmachine are designed to reach mobile audiences.
